Books and Bears

Today, Taliesin's and Nathanael's big collection of Dr. Seuss stories came in the mail. I love Amazon.com. I was able to order this book, plus two smaller Dr. Seuss collections for the price I would have paid for just this one at the local bookstore. On the way to the park today, we read "The Lorax," "The Cat in the Hat," and "Yertle the Turtle." I'm sure we'll probably be reading a lot from this book in the near future (and I sense more unit study fun, too).
Yesterday, my sister brought over a make-a-bear kit that she picked up at Goodwill. Taliesin loves it! He's so excited to make his own teddy bear. It's turning out pretty cute! I'll post some pictures of the finished product as soon as it's finished.

They already have fabulous taste in authors! =) Seeing those books take me back when mine would spend hours reading them.

The make a bear sounds like tons of fun.

They are really into Dr. Seuss right now. Taliesin's favorite is "The Lorax." Nathanael enjoys "Yertle the Turtle" and "Horton Hears a Who." We're actually thinking of some fun things to do for Earth Day for the unschooling group based upon "The Lorax."

Your house seems fun! Can I come over and play? How kind of your sis to bring a bear kit over.

Sure, anytime! My sister is always bringing stuff for Taliesin and Nathanael. I'm glad!
