Bone Crusher Monster Truck! How cool is that? When my boys were young we also participated in our Library Summer program. It was so fun. Their favorite activity was the time the group made ice cream in a coffee can!
Coffee can ice cream would be fun! I'll have to see if I can find the recipe online. They love the summer reading program, just because they really love books. But the library's party to end it all for kids who met their reading goals was really cool! And they also got some really neat prizes - like a free taco, a free ice cream cone, a free balloon or flower, etc. - all from businesses that participated in the reading program. But, then, the library has cool things all year around. Everything from story times to craft days to presentations by the local zoo. I know of a lot of people who tell me they never take their kids to the library. How can you have kids and not take them to the library? LOL.
Other than being a full-time unschooling mom, I am a graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor or science in religion, a bachelor of science in education, and a master of arts in human services: Christian ministries. I believe God is calling me to begin a type of urban ministry that focuses on emotional and spiritual abuse. You will see several blogs listed under my username. Dandelions and Daisies is no longer in operation, but I do keep the blog up to show some of the activities we conducted.
